Patient Advocates: Bastions of Trust in a Sceptical World

You're invited to a special event with a new perspective on Trust and Health, virtually taking place on May 22, 2025.

Our annual study of Trust and Health is in its fourth year and, over time, has revealed troubling trends in how the public relates to health institutions. We have observed growing concerns over the politicisation of medical science, a collapse of trust in health journalism, and limited access to reliable information, leading to a loss of faith in healthcare companies and risk to personal health outcomes.

In this special event, we will examine the 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report: Health and Trust findings through the lens of a group that can play a vital role. Already a key part of the health ecosystem, the patient advocate could become even more important in the future. Part 'Person like Myself,' part 'Scientist,' and part 'Technical Expert,' the patient advocate occupies a unique space in the health trust continuum - one we will discuss in detail.

This will be followed by a panel discussion with leaders from across the global health industry, to interrogate the opportunity presented by the report’s findings and explore how organisations can help build a healthier future for all.
